The HuntCo’s Joe Allen Shoots the Breeze About His Near Fatal Tree Stand Fall

20 feet up a tree, the limb Joe held for support while hanging a stand suddenly snapped. Friend and field producer Scott Heminger looked up just in time to see Joe hurtling backwards to the ground.

Though seriously injured, Joe survived that fall in large part to a split-second act of heroism by Scott. Listen as the guys tell about the save Scott made, along with the full story of an all too common bowhunting scenario that almost ended in fatality. Our hope is that this conversation will cause hunters to make safer choices while getting into, out of and hanging their stands.

But there’s more to this visit than talk about the accident. Learn about the humble beginnings of the HuntCo and what’s coming up in season three of the show. You’ll also get to hear about the evolution of Scott not only as a field producer, but also a bowhunter. As a teaser, think NWTF record book gobbler.
